Close ( some of ) the Borders!

I wrote to President Trump to let him know that I am not tired of winning, and I wholeheartedly support his actions pertaining to securing our nation's borders from the scourge of addictive drugs, child sex trafficking, murderers, rapists, gangsters and thieves.

Compromise with the open borders, anarchistic democrats and the squishy republicans is a futile pursuit. Border insecurity has been a desired crisis of chaos for over fifty years. The immigration problem was purposely designed and endorsed by the treacherous Lyndon Johnson in the form of the Hart–Celler Act, with the aim of flooding America with a low skilled, government-dependent, future democratic voting block. After 55 years of kicking the immigration can down the road, the time for talk is over. The obstructionists on both sides of the aisle are not acting in good faith. One side wants cheap labor, the other a monolithic constituency.

Not to long ago the President mentioned closing the borders. I applaud that intent and encouraged him to do so. As expected some caterwauled at the proposal. (OMG! no avocado toast?) I suggested that the Presdient consider modifying the method. Instead of a complete border shutdown execute rolling closures among the 50 Ports of Entry. For example: on Monday close the Ports of Entry at Otay Mesa, San Diego and Tecata California, Antelope Welles, New Mexico, San Luis, Arizona (both), and all along the Texas / Chihuahua border. On Tuesday no entry of trains and commercial vehicle over 26,000 pounds. On Wednesday limit travel at California Ports of Entry from 8:00 a.m. to noon. etc.etc.

The easing or tightening of lawful entry into the US is to be based on the flow of the illegals and /or the alleged asylum seekers nearing and/or penetrating our borders. This is a good Carrot and Stick for Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador to consider as he has been facilitating the hundreds of thousands of invaders from Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala and other locations south of the border. He has the ability to stop the caravans at Mexico’s southern border. Let’s make Lopez Obrador do so.
